A
malware removal tool
and a
diagnostic tool for Windows operating system is
integrated in Adware Away 3.0.2 to provide
combined security against computer
threats.
This
version, 3.0.2, can remove 11 browser
hijackers, 3 desktop hijackers, "your
computer is infected" or "spyware
infection" desktop background message and
“security up to date” browser hijacker.
Using Global Scan feature it can
subsequently examine Windows registry,
running processes, active services,
system drivers, files and some specific
locations.
It
has more than 150 specialized tools
included to remove hard to find
parasites. This is made possible by their
prompt development team. If the software
fails to remove any particular bug, just
make a log and send it by
e-mail.
Within
a couple of hours, they will give you the
customized cleaning tool. You can create
the log file by using the ListDlls
diagnostic tool. One of such tools, we
experienced, successfully eliminated
CoolWebSearch browser hijacker. Though
the interface is not clear and
graphically eye catching, it is simple
and convenient. Novice users would learn
to handle it within a few
hours.
Adware
Away 3.0.2 has automatic update feature
but it attempts to download updates a
very few times. Even when downloads, size
of the update file used to be very small.
Size of virus definition database is not
satisfactory. It is claimed that the tool
often shows false positive. It even
counted the shellextension.dll as a
malicious program, which was in fact
associated with installed Microsoft
AntiSpyware Beta1.
