 F-Prot Antivirus 

F-Prot antivirus is famous for its award winning scanning engine. This antivirus can detect most of the viruses by using its advanced heuristics technology. F-Prot uses a very minimum resource of your computer for running. The software is easy to use and it performs a faster speed scan.

The RealTime protector scans all files of the system for viruses. The built-in scheduler is helpful to automate tasks like updating the virus definition files and scanning. The user interface is to some extent unusual but simple to configure. It provides many options for customization.

Besides, automatic scanning of the total system, you can perform single file scanning. To scan a single file, folder or drive, right click on that and there you will see the “Scan” option in the menu.

The antivirus provides option for either Internet Update or LAN Update. It would be better if the access to configuration were available from the taskbar instead of start menu or desktop.

It includes F-Prot for DOS command line scanning. This command line scanner can remove stubborn threats and boot sector infectors. F-Prot is suitable for most of the old and new windows versions. Though we didn't notice any significant performance problem while testing it, we must say that F-Prot is not as good as it could b
